Alipour: Iran Sport Needs Long Time Program
President of Iran Federation of Sport Association talked about sport programs that Iran needs
Alipour which is executive member in Iran Olympic Committee believes that at least 12 years program is needed to be successful in sport.
“The usual challenge of sport is the lack of long time plan. For determining the budget, we should determine which way Iran sport wants to go and what is the plan for future. The past methods for reaching results in Olympic Games do not work.” Alipour said in an interview with Mehr News Agency
“For the sport, a 12 years paln is needed and we should use it for next three Olympic Games. We should invest on sports such as Athletics, Shooting and Swimming which have many medals in Olympic Games. If we invest now, the results come for two or three next Olympic Games.” Iran NOC executive member noted
“ For reaching these goals, we need to increase the budget of federations. The increase should be notable, not only adding the budget 20 percent in comparison to last year. “ Alipour added |
